My Man

My man is someone with a semi hard body and a rock hard cock, skin like olive cream, a smile that stops me in my tracks and makes my heart sigh, eyes of deep in passion, and a connection with love, people, and desire that only purity knows, he's taller than i, he smells every now and then but i love it because it’s his smell, he has breakdowns in front of me because he knows i'm the place to breakdown, be fixed up and be around, my man is a hug, he's the thought of "damn, i want to hold him right now but he's so far away" whenever we're in the same room and not holding each other, he's a phone call that has me rolling around in bed forgetting that time exist, that i have to wake up in two hours to be at work at 9, that i'm not a school girl popping bubble gum and playing with my hair, he massages, he loves his family and my family becomes his family and his mine, everyone loves him because he lives and leads with love and joy and compassion and unconditionality and he simply and powerfully be’s, he understands and is firm, he has a level of integrity that's unparallel, his word is assumed to be his actions because what he speaks almost always comes to be, his chest is my pillow, his lips are clouds and kisses are ocean wave crashing and dancing in love with mine, his eyes are my escape, he the reason i exhale, take a deep breath and exhale again, and again, and . . .oooo man, he’s my man, our fingers lock secures our love depicts our hearts, he's sometimes goofy, somewhat nerdy, and somehow everything, he's takes care of people he doesn't even know and no one knows he does, he's compassionate, he farts in front of me, cooks, he kisses me with morning breath, on occasion, he sets a bath for me, we take showers together, we write love letters to each other . . . after being together for 10 years he sends me on love scavenger hunts and in the end the prize is him, at a coffee shop, in the gym, or on a beach, our cell phones are off when we're with each other, he cries when we watch movies, creates traditions for us, we play board games, do arts and craft, we sing to each other, and no one sings with love as we do, he holds my hand when we walk down the street, he goes food shopping and knows that i want french fries, tuna, rice crispy, chicken cutlet and cranberry juice . . . and still calls to see if i want anything else . . . and then he remembers that I would probably like a Hagen Daz Vanilla Swiss Almond ice cream and suggests it, we go to the gym together, we do pilates in the house together, we have matching toothbrushes and don't mind if we accidentally use the others, he cuts my hair and i cut his, i clip his toe nails, he kisses my body all over, he's incredibly intelligent and heart smart and lives in action, we thumb wrestle, he comes to my football games and i go to his swim meets or whatever it is that he does that i love simply because he does, we take dance class together, he's vers, we watch a few good men starting Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, and Jack Nicholson every time I want to watch it even though he rather watch another movie that he hasn't seen three hundred times already because of me, he introduces me to a new world and we both make it our own, we go on adventures together . . . like walking the city streets that we've never walked before, or traveling to Fiji to sing, or exploring his body as I never have, he sleeps between my legs with his head resting on my stomach as if he's a father resting on his pregnant wife's stomach, he strips for me, he's there for himself, me, his family, his friends, the world. shifts are made all around when he moves, when's he not around he missed. he inspires me (and other) to be greater people, he lays in bed with me every night, whether he's with me or not, he's felt and he feels me and we never feel alone at night, we dance in the rain together, sleep cuddling when it rains, and when we fight I'll sing to him "I wish it would rain." we go on boat rides, suba dive, travel, role play, kiss all the time like it's the last time, he engulfs me with hugs and love and warmth and everything he is, he picks me up, even though he looks like he's about to pop because I'm to heavy for him to lift, we have in scandalous places: dressing room and buses and mattress store and observation decks and fairies and open parks and in the theatre . . . we jump double dutch, play hop scotch, chess and the market together, we have a joint accounts and matching rings, we say our vows off the top of our head and they're complete and perfect and open and loving and supportive and committed and everything that works even prepared for times where we don't seems to work we somehow work because our vows were to work, he everything I dreamed and everything I forgot in my dream, he watches house, law & order, family guy and football with me and he doesn't even like any of those shows…but does because he knows I like them and he loves whatever pleases me, he has big feet, thick ankles, big nose, lips and he's all right just how he is . . . and from day one he knew i took him as is
oh that's my man
and he's so much more
and so much more i don't know
but everything i love.
always his intentions is for my well being,
and always my intentions gets to be for his well being
he's that second sound of my heart when it beats,
he's the lone footprints on the sand on the Footprint beach
he's right here and always in my reach
and above all he's truth, he's raw, uninhibitedly vulnerable

. . . . he's my man

. . . . he's my unconditional thing

. . . . and he none of this, or all of this, or a mix of this, or a twist of this

. . . . but he definitely, and only has to be, and only gets to be, and surely wants to be, and lovingly someone whom I respect and admire

. . . . and all i am is the same

. . . . to

. . . . my man.

Yes We Can!

I've watched the video four times, and each time I have teared up. I teared up because time finally seems to be catching up with destiny. Yes we can. I have teared up because possibilities finally seem endless. Yes we can. Because a King's dream is no longer deferred. Yes we can.

"It’s the hope of slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs; the hope of immigrants setting out for distant shores; the hope of a young naval lieutenant bravely patrolling the Mekong Delta; the hope of a millworker’s son who dares to defy the odds; the hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him, too.

Hope -- Hope in the face of difficulty. Hope in the face of uncertainty. The audacity of hope!

In the end, that is God’s greatest gift to us, the bedrock of this nation. A belief in things not seen. A belief that there are better days ahead."

The audacity of hope is hope even when the hope is almost hopeless. Yes. We. Can. We have faith when all else is dark. Yes we can. Our eye adjust, not because we adapt to the darkness . . . Yes. We. Can . . . but instead to remind us that there is light. Yes we can!

Yes we can! Yes we can! Yes we can play a game, show up in life, be brothers, lovers, business partners, and politicians who stand on the possibility that all who are involved win! Yes we can! If ever there's an outcome where one party wins and another loses, that's simply the sign of someone playing not to lose. That is not the sign of a leader. Leader play to win! Yes we can!

We believe in Barack, not because he's black, not because he's a first, and not even because he promises change. Yes we can. We believe in Barack because he finally stands as a Leader, another leader playing to win! Yes we can. And by win, I mean that EVERYBODY wins! Yes we can. And by leader I mean Dr. King Leader. Yes we can. And by leader I mean Gandhi leader. Yes we can. And by leader I mean a lawyer that fights for justice when all the evidence seems to point to something else leader. Yes we can. And by leader I mean high school teacher that stays late till their student learns leader. Yes we can. A construction worker who continues to work after losing his legs to support his children leader. Yes we can. Yes we can. Leader play to win! Yes we can. Democrats & Republicans. Yes we can. Black Men & White Women. Yes we can. Yes we can. Hetros & Homos. Yes we can. Yes we can. Christians & Muslims. Yes we can. Yes we can. Yes we can have everybody wins! Yes we can! Everybody wins! Yes we can! Everybody Wins! Yes we can!
